You need to have another cable going directly from the router to the other computer, or get a switch and plug a cable from the router into it and then a cable to each computer from the switch.

You should be all set if both computers are connected to the router. You may have to restart your router and cable modem and restart the pc’s.
The order should go modem -> router -> computers.

Should be a couple of ethernet ports coming out of the router to go to other computers…If its wireless you dont need an ethernet cord

Verizon FiOS doesn’t restrict how many computers you have (well, they do but they don’t – the limit is rediculessly high).
You should be able to just get another etherenet cable (if you don’t have one) and plug it into another LAN port (there are about 4 of these) and it will work.
Note, the LAN port is different from the WAN port. Do not use the WAN port.
Just for reference, the router (ActionTec) will have these ports:
LAN x4 (what your computers connect to)
WAN Eithernet (may be used on some installs)
WAN MoCA (TV cable – used on most installs)
…and the wireless antenna
The other routers will have the same thing but no WAN MoCA connection.

you need to connect each compter to the the router, unfortunately, unless you have a wireless connection. There is a lot of technology out there that is making it easier to gain internet access. A lot will change even more once Obama becomes president.
