I’m connected to a local network which is connected to the internet. Also I’m connected directly to the internet via an mobile internet modem.
Which internet connection is used?
How can I choose to use a specific internet connection?

My older sister just got a laptop (a Thinkpad) and we want to know if and if so how we can connect the internet from the desktop to to the laptop easily. Any help is very appreciated. Im not really a computer person. Please help us out!!

I have two desktop computers one upstairs and downstairs. I have a wireless router and i can’t get internet to work upstairs from the downstairs computer. I have also tried a cable between the router and the upstairs computer but i still can’t get the internet any ideas?

ok i have cable hookup for phone and internet. I had a family member move in who has this thing called WebTv, Which does NOT take an ethernet connection. I called my cable service provider and they said i needed to get an ethernet to RJ45 Adapter. Which I cant find in my local stores. does anyone know where online I might find one of these and for cheap but fair price?

My work has an extremely restrictive firewall that actually gets in the way of my work. I’m wondering how I can connect to the internet connection at my house from work. I bring my labtop to work and leave my desktop at home. Is there a way to connect to the internet through my home desktop computer from my work labtop computer? Thank you.
I have remote desktop and know how to use it. However, my husband needs the computer at home while I’m at work because he works from home. So I can’t use remote desktop because it takes over that computer and he can’t use it then. I just need the network, I don’t need the files on the computer. Is there a way to do this?

At times my wireless connection automatically connects to my neighbors when my signal is weak. Can the files on my computer be seen while using someone else connection. I know I can see all of my neighbors files on there computer when I use there connection. There wireless internet does not have a password so I think that’s why I can see there stuff. Well, I have a wireless laptop computer that’s connected to the internet via a wireless-g router (D-Link DI-524) and a non-connected desktop. I recently bought a CAT5 crossover cable to connect the 2 and give the desktop access to the internet and the wider LAN. How do I do this? ICS doesn’t work!!!
