Why don’t TV Stations have live online streams?Filed Under: International Organizations
It makes no sense to me.
If TV Stations broadcasted live online then they would still be able to operate as viewers would still see all of their commercials, which is how they make money.
For one, they would be able to reach more viewers as there is huge demand for out of market sporting events and even more importantly, low income families who can afford the internet, but not cable television.
The benefits are endless for them to do this.
The only downside I see is that it’s easier to capture the work if its viewable online, but at the same time, I think the equipment to send the tv feed to your pc isn’t very much money.
So whats there to lose? Probaly kick backs from the cable providers not to?
