I’m trying to get to websites like myspace and facebook from work and school. I heard something about using a proxy. But I can’t find one that works. What can work at my school and work to access the internet websites I want to go to?

The computer has to be able to use the network, but not have access to the Internet. The server environment is Windows 2000 server SP4, the computer could be running either Win 2000 or WinXP Pro. Most systems run with a dynamic IP address with specific machines set with a static IP for the particular job they are used for. Internet connection goes through a firewall appliance and then on to a router.

Could it be possible to a household in rural villages in the Philippines to have access to the internet? Villages unreached by landlines? Because Dream Cable made it possible for access to televisions, what about the internet? How much does it cost?

I commute by bus to work and access the internet (mostly email/some internet) during the commute. What is the best way to do this? Do you have any recommendations for good phones and service plans to do this? I would like to use bluetooth so I don’t need to tether my phone to the laptop.
I might use a card but am hoping to not have to spend the extra ~$80/month. Some cell phones have speeds up to 600kbps. If all of the bandwidth can be transferred to the notebook, this wouldn’t be bad (at least just for email).
