My mom collects a certain brand of antique china. Back in the day, it was pretty hard to find; she’d scour the antique malls and flea markets and be thrilled to find even one piece. It took her years to build her collection.

Now that everyone’s online, sites like ebay make it much easier to find. And with so many pieces available, the prices have dropped from what she used to pay in a shop. That’s a good thing, in a way… but it’s kinda taken the fun out of it. There’s no longer that “thrill of the hunt” that made her hobby so much fun.

Has anyone else found this to be the case?

This really isn’t a -work at home- question, but my husband teaches preschool and he gets checks in the summer but he gets pretty bored and would like some extra income. We are considering making an Online store/selling things on Ebay for more of a hobby/extra cash.

Anyone have any ideas on what’s fun and not hurting your bank account to start doing/selling? Any candle-selling companies, make-up, anything else out there that is enjoyable, yet profitable?

mall, on line, flea market, ..? how do you shop ?

I’m really interested in both! but my main concern is to have a job right out of college and make a good salary, and which one will be most in demand. I plan to get experience and do an intern or two before i graduate. I must make a choice right now. Im not sure about what career choice i want. I like communications/advertising/marketing/promotions/media/fun/ rewarding/magazines type of areas. So what route should i take?

and please dont say do what i love or follow my heart. i want to make money ok.

also does anyone know anything about “marketing communications” there is a concentration at my school with that title. just curios.
and which has the most value?

I currently live in the United States but am completely open to being stationed/moving to another country as I know this might have to be the case. So with the idea, I do not know where to start. I am not yet enrolled in college and I do not know how well I will be taken considering my age/ education (even though I am exceptionally smart). If anyone out there can give me a step by step plan, that would be great. I have written a couple of pages about my idea for fun, but know I need to have everything official. Currently, my idea is no where to be found on the internet and it would attract a global market. What should I do, anything would be appreciated! Also, I would prefer to just start up the idea/sell it to someone else who could take it on as I most likely will have to be in school for the next 7 years.

And please only serious responses, I know that many others fail, but I am not the failing type!
