I currently have the cable and modem directly connected to my laptop. However, I need my internet to be connected to my desktop in another room. What do i need to do? Do I just need to get a router? Or Do I need to get a router and wireless card for my desktop?

I have wireless internet in my apartment and, even though I have full signal strength, I get disconnected every few minutes and then reconnect within a few seconds. I’ve tried unplugging the router. My roommate appears to not have any issues with it.

I’m trying to connect my Wii to the Internet using the Nintendo WiFi adapter. When I install all of the drivers for the adapter, it changes my Internet settings to where I can no longer get online with my computer (Windows XP). I don’t have a router or anything and I’m only using a cable modem. I cannot figure out how to change the settings to where I can connect to the Internet without having to do a system resore (even when I uninstall the drivers it won’t change back). Does anyone know how I would be able to switch between the two connections or share them simultaneously? Thanks!
